Autumn W. Marthastewart didn't have directions on how to make the pad, it was actually about the teapot. I personally would use a hot glue gun or fabric glue. since fabric glue is designed to tolerate the warm and cold of a wash cycle.

Melissa Haley I used hot glue gun for mine and it works great. The only thing I did though was I put something more sturdy under mine along with the felt because just using the felt alone doesn't make it very sturdy due to the weight of the rocks

Melissa Haley I had an 8x10 piece of felt and just cut the circle out the size that I wanted it but I also added something with my felt because using felt alone wasn't sturdy enough for the rocks. I actually used foam under my felt but you could also glue the rocks to a piece of cardboard then put the felt under the cardboard. I'd paint the cardboard black to match the felt. I also used a hot glue gun and mine is holding up great
